Why a Harness?

Two reasons to upgrade to a harness...


1. High Watt Bulbs
If you are going to run higher watt bulbs, you must use a harness. Without a harness you will not get full voltage to the bulb and you could risk causing an electrical fire.

2. Voltage Drop
Check voltage at the battery with the engine running at about 2,000 RPM. Make a note of this.
Next you will need to check the voltage at the headlamp bulb with the engine running at about 2,000 RPM AND THE HEADLIGHT ON. Make a note of this. Take the battery measurement and subtract the bulb voltage and this will be your voltage drop.
